amblevem Posted 10 November , 2016 Share Posted 10 November , 2016 (edited) Hi, Is it possible to know at which date the german classes from 1915 to 1921 (born 1895 to 1901) were called up during WW1 and how long was during the training period for the different classes. Thx Edited 10 November , 2016 by amblevem ajout
AOK4 Posted 10 November , 2016 Share Posted 10 November , 2016 Hello, Class 1921 wasn't called up any more during the war. class 1915: called up April-June 1915 class 1916: August-November 1915 class 1917: January-May 1916 class 1918: September 1916-January 1917 class 1919: May-June 1917 class 1920: Early 1918 Recruits were trained 1 to 3 months before being sent to the front zone (Feldrekrutendepot, Infanterie-Ersatz-Truppe Beverloo and Warsaw, ...) In these Feldrekrutendepots and other training units, recruits were further trained before being sent to the actual frontline. How long depended on necessities of the moment. AOK4 Posted 10 November , 2016 Share Posted 10 November , 2016 About the class 1920: these recruits arrived at the front line from September - October 1918 onwards, according to what I have found (Kriegsstammrollen from casualties). Jan
