An evening of words, music and images With Miriam Margolyes, Alexander Knox, Simon Haynes, Philip Bell, Elaine Feinstein & Vivi Lachs and her band Written and devised by Rosenberg’s biographer, Jean Moorcroft Wilson Please join us in celebrating Isaac Rosenberg, the East End Jewish boy who studied painting at the Slade and became one of the greatest poets of the 1st World War. This event, hosted by the Jewish East End Celebration Society, is mounted to raise money for a statue in Rosenberg’s memory at Birkbeck College, Torrington Square. A 2018 update noted that of the £100,000 required ........... "I have raised £10,000 with a further promise of £5,000 and have abandoned the statue scheme."
