Remembering Harold "Harry" Ormrod, who died on 1 November 1916, and is buried in Manchester (Philips Park) Cemetery.
The Soldiers Died in the Great War Database confirms that Harold died on 1 November 1916, whilst serving on the Home Front, though it notes his battalion as the 4th Bn, Lancashire Fusiliers - rather than the 3rd. The Database also records that Harold was born in Manchester. where he enlisted in the Army.
The Army Register of Soldiers' Effects notes that Harry Ormrod died of a duodenal ulcer in the Military Hospital at Cannock Chase, and left his effects to his widow, Alice.
