Remembered Today:

42 Sqn Record book - July 17

Good Morning,

I posted this over in the air forum but there were no concrete answers.

I have been trying to find the 42 Sqn record book covering July 1917 on the Discovery search portal. I can find other years and date ranges but not one that covers Jul 1917. One member said it could be mixed in with Brigade papers but he couldn't find those either.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding this record book?

Thanks,

Cam

Long time no answer, so we might need a bit more clarity ! Can you be specific about 42 Squadron's place. In my assessment July 1917 would discount an RAF Squadron (from 1.4.1918), looking at your interests is it an RNAS Squadron, or is it an RFC unit ?

I am happy to make an effort with a bit more info.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. 42 Sqn was an RFC squadron at the time. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
