PaulC78 Posted 28 October , 2016 Share Posted 28 October , 2016 (edited) A new war memorial will be unveiled next month at Scarisbrick in Lancashire. This is part of a local effort to commemorate the Great War Centenary and comes off the back of nearly three years of hard work and research. The memorial will be a 6 ft obelisk and will bear the names of 64 local men who lost their lives during WW1. Part of the base section is already in place and the rest is due to be complete by Armistice Day. Details are yet to be finalised but a dedication service is being planned for 11 November at 11:00 am. I'll try and post some further details as they become available.
