Mark Hone Posted 26 October , 2016 Share Posted 26 October , 2016 Remembering Friedrich Strohlein from Liverpool, son of German immigrants, who served as Private Frederick Strolin in 2nd Cameronians and was killed on 23rd October 1916. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. His father was interned on the Isle of Man while his older sister, not born in England, was deported to Germany.
