Pte Frederick Street

Danielle Spencer

Hello,

In the past I have received information regarding my husband's great uncle Pvt Frederick Street, 12th HLI - Regimental number 41944, Frederick was wounded on the 9th of April 1917 at the beginning of the Arras Offensive on the opening of the first battle of the Scarpe and died in Govan hospital on the 23rd of June 1917. On the 100th anniversary of his death the flag will be flown half mast at our local memorial gardens and of course we will be there to honour him, my request is to find out if there is anything in the HLI war diaries for the day that he was wounded or anything relating to that day so that I can prepare something to put on his grave which we will also be visiting on that day.

Would appreciate any feedback and if photo/s available.

Sincere thanks

Mrs Danielle Spencer
