warbuff1 Posted 10 October , 2016 Share Posted 10 October , 2016 Good Morning Can anyone kindly show me a map of Marchelpot for March 1918 with grid ref 62C. T22. D8.8 as this is where the Cemetery was and if anyone can impose that onto a modern map i'd be even more grateful! (Yes i'm being cheeky i know). Recently found out my 1st Cousin 3 times removed was buried there but in subsequent German action his grave was lost and he's now commemorted on Memorial Grave in Roye New British Cemetery Many Thanks Wayne
John_Hartley Posted 10 October , 2016 Share Posted 10 October , 2016 Wayne On this link, you can enter the trench amp reference and it'll bring up the modern map http://library.mcmaster.ca/maps/ww1/ndx5to40.htm Once you've found it there (and that's probably enough for your actual needs), suggest you pop over to the National Library of Scotland site. That enables you to find the trench map and merge between it and a modern map. http://maps.nls.uk/ww1/trenches/index.html John

Phil Evans Posted 10 October , 2016 Share Posted 10 October , 2016 Wayne, A direct link to your location on the NLS site here. Use the slider in the box on the left hand side to change the transparency to show the modern map. You can also change to show a Jan 1917 map, which has a bit more detail.
