Perth Digger Posted 7 October , 2016 Share Posted 7 October , 2016 Cozens enlisted as GS/8181 in the 11/RWK battalion in May or June 1915. He later became a Regular, with number L/12112. He won the Military Medal (description in London Gazette 26 March 1917) for a trench raid and also was awarded the DCM. But his British and Victory medals were subsequently forfeited. See the file below of his MIC. Can anyone interpret the code used to explain why this may have happened? It does not seem to be the ten-year rule being applied. Perth Digger Posted 7 October , 2016 Author Share Posted 7 October , 2016 Thanks, Craig. The 23/8/19 is the date of his discharge? Is there any way of following this up? Mike
SJW Posted 17 April , 2017 Share Posted 17 April , 2017 Would this Sgt Cozens have been in hospital in September 1917 at Paignton? If he was, I have a photo of him in my granddad's collection of photos from when he was in hospital there.
