Guest martin perryman Posted 7 October , 2016 Share Posted 7 October , 2016 Am new to the forum and am currently researching a relative who survived the war and was awarded the military medal for actions during action at Gillemont Farm on the night of 9/10th. June 1917 . I have the war diaries for that period but as yet have found no reference to the actual act which won the medal . I understand this may be usual . Can anyone recommend a book or other reference worth checking , i have contacted the S.G's museum but no luck . I need a pointer in the right direction ! Steven Broomfield Posted 7 October , 2016 Share Posted 7 October , 2016 There is a regimental history; happy to look this evening. Does your relative have a name?
