john conley Posted 6 October , 2016 Share Posted 6 October , 2016 My Grandfather Henry Alfred Conley served with the 7th Rifle Brigade was wounded and sent home. On recovery I found he was in Ireland with 2/7th Royal Scots for retraining. His paybook for that time states his no was 302289. He was released for overseas service on 30.3.1918.. His certificate of employment shows Regt. as 13th Royal Scots No. 6 Convalescent Depot dated 4.4.1919 issued in Etaples. Did he serve with 13th Royal Scots? Could anyone point me in the right direction to find out what happened between leaving Ireland and release in Etaples. Any information would be gratefully received. Thank in anticipation Regards John C
