joe19612 Posted 27 September , 2016 Share Posted 27 September , 2016 I have from the CWGC a burial return for a soldier buried in Delville Wood. He was found at 57C S3 c8.8, am I right in thinking that would be sheet 57c on a trench map and square 3, so what does c.8.8. I think that is west of High Wood. Can any please confirm that is correct for me. Joe
Alan24 Posted 27 September , 2016 Share Posted 27 September , 2016 (edited) Joe, High Wood or Delville Wood? Each number square divided into 4, a b c d Your ref refers to square c, co-ordinates 8,8. As shown here on this quick and dirty sketch. Alan. Edited 27 September , 2016 by Alan24
