AlanCurragh Posted 23 September , 2016 Share Posted 23 September , 2016 On 24th September 2006, a new sub-forum was created with the aim of identifying WW1 Commonwealth servicemen and women eligible for commemoration by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, but not at the time commemorated. This subsequently led to the creation of the In From The Cold project, which has spent most of the decade searching the records to find men and women not commemorated. As well as marking ten years of the sub-forum, a recent milestone was passed with the search for home burials reaching its 1000th grave accepted by CWGC. The Trustees of the Great War Forum would like to pay tribute to all those involved in the efforts made to ensure commemoration of those eligible, in particular Terry Denham, John Hartley and Chris Harley.
