In the American Museum of National History online catalog (2016) are photos showing the real STUBBY after he was stuffed upon his death in 1926.  On one side of his "blanket coat" is a Lindsay Ontario Maple Leaf enamel pin.  Does anyone know if this pin is contemporary with the coat and if STUBBY when he was alive actually wore this Canadian pin and if so WHY?

Woof!

(The online photo showing the Lindsay enamel pin is below)
