I have this paybook, dated "revised October 1918" but must have been issued just post-war as the surgeon in question is given his executive rank. My question is, does the pocket surgical kit discovered in the box with it (about wallet-sized) look as if it could be WW1 in date?

Mansfield of Grafton Street in Dublin. They were already trading in the 1870s and still in business in 1911; I haven't yet found an end date.

Folded up completely the case is about 16 cm x 7 cm and quite fat, about the same proportions as a glasses-case.
