petet Posted 21 August , 2016 Share Posted 21 August , 2016 Does anyone have any information on the movements of this aircraft as I have varying dates relating to when it was taken on charge / struck off charge by No 35 Squadron, in fact according to the dates I have it was struck off charge before it was taken on charge! Any help would be much appreciated as always Regards Pete
mickdavis Posted 21 August , 2016 Share Posted 21 August , 2016 Are you sure it's D8012? My notes on this machine read: 5 AAP Bristol tested 17.5.1918 ('engine missing') and 19.5.1918 ('OK'). 44 TDS Bicester and wrecked 9.10.1918 (2Lt Herbert James Lamb KIFA, the machine stalled and crashed near Islip in a forced landing due to engine failure in poor weather - engine FalconI 389/WD10495). mickdavis Posted 21 August , 2016 Share Posted 21 August , 2016 Just realised - could it have been with 35 Training Squadron, which disbanded into 44 TDS?
petet Posted 21 August , 2016 Author Share Posted 21 August , 2016 Mick Great piece of detective work; thanks for your efforts. I have just found a file which confirms it was 35TS so I can cross it off my No 35 Squadron records Regards Pete

petet Posted 22 August , 2016 Author Share Posted 22 August , 2016 Trevor Thanks for the feedback; that list ties in with what I have now (although I am currently short of the squadron dates for C917 ... so if anyone can help out on that it will enable me to complete this element of my No 35 Squadron research) Regards Pete
