Were any Siege batteries formed from 28th and 93rd Companies RGA

Very few Companies were converted to Batteries. Both 28th and 93rd Coys, however, may have posted men to Siege Batteries on formation. Especially 28th Coy, at Weymouth, although men returning from 93rd Coy., Ceylon, would have probably been posted to a home Coy. first.

Quite a few batteries were formed at Weymouth, although there were probably men coming from other Coys as well, and, without looking, quite a few batteries formed at Weymouth may have had a contingent of TF gunners from one TF association as a nucleus.

Those companies that were converted to batteries were; 17, 23, 39, 59, 81, 84, 97 and 107  Coys.

Topic title says it all. Were any siege batteries formed from 28th and 93rd Companies RGA?

Given you have visited the forum at least twice since posting the above and not acknowledged, I wonder whether you actually meant were men posted from 28th & 93rd Coys, to a Siege Battery on formation?

Sorry, I had not appreciated that a written acknowledgement was the form on this forum.

I was specifically interested in finding out if there were any WW1 actions that could be directly linked to what is now 58 (Eyres)  and 137 (Java) batteries. Do you know if drafts from these companies went to any specific siege batteries?
