help with 2nd Beds photo

I have a photo of my great grandfather (I think ) in uniform .Stamped in bottom right hand corner of pic is united service studio,Ipswich and Felixstow.Can anyone tell me if the 2nd Beds were stationed here if so for what reason.From what very little I know about him he enlisted in 1914 but never went to France untill 1916.

The 3rd Battalion were stationed at Languard, Felixstowe. This is where they trained men to supply the front line battalions.

There is a good chance your Gt Uncle was with the 3rd battalion prior to being in the 2nd.

What was his name?
