Military Medal award

I've drawn a blank on a notification of a MM in the Gazette to a AN Robbins East or West Yorks (he was in both).  If someone with a sub to the Times archive could kindly look in there up to 1921 I'd be most grateful.

That's the problem, there is an other possibiity (A Robbins East Yorks) too and there is also no card notation or Gazette entry for him.  I have in the past found that some MIDs are in the Times only so I thought I'd task if that was perhaps the case here.

My clumsy wording.  I've found MIDs in the Times and wondered whether the "missing" MM was to be found there also but I cancelled my sub that allows me into the archives henec my plea here.

There are some records on FMP for AN Robbins, East Yorks, but not for MM but a Russian Gallantry award. Might this be same man ?

MIC for 4334618  AN Robbins E Yorks claim for russian gallantry award.

National Roll of the Great War, Bradford, shows his service France and Russia; still serving 1920 and service record may be with MoD? entitled to BWM Vic    address 41 Percival St , Leeds Rd, Bradford

Also

MIC for Arthur N Robbins 57162 West Yorks and 30266 East Yorks,  but no ready link to the above.

Don't know if this is any help?

This is your man, no doubt: Grantham Journal 1934. If he stretched the story on driving could the details of MM be a bit different?

FMP have an Arthur Nelson Robbins on one of those odd bits of re-used paper that show him as 86037 attested 13.2.17 aged 18 Bradford... (not sure which unit?)

Charlie962 - Thank you very much, useful cross checks.

We have census detail thanks, only query is military career.  Also got the driving offence (found while looking for MM references).  Also saw the odd bit of paper (the FMP bit is only the lefthand side of the ledger, I've found the RHS elsewhere via Kew.  Can't tie that up at all, age all wrong and the RHS says transferred to RFC!!

MIC reference to claimed Russian Gallantry award also seen so this is our number one suspect for sending for records.  Whether the other MIC is the same man I suspect the records will reveal.

MM still a mystery, family have a photo, although black and white he is wearing Pip Squeak and Wilfred and an MM!  The West Yorks/East Yorks man has no 14/15 Star.  There is another A Robbins E Yorks though with all three.

Time for bed said Zebedee.
