64th HAG Oct/Nov 1917 - controlling artillery HQ?

64 HAG, comprising at the time of interest 125, 136, 150 and 169 Siege Batteries RGA, were deployed in the Belgian Corps area to the west of Diksmuide mid Oct 1917 to early Dec 1917 and fired in support of (presumably) Belgian operations.  The question - what was the controlling artillery HQ?

This is asked in a further attempt to find out exactly what operation(s) the HAG was supporting at that time.

MaxD,

for that information you require the WD of CHA 19 Corps which is available for download from the National Archive Discovery website for a small fee.

PS. What previous attempt?

Thank you Paul (wee typo - CHA for CRA) but found it thanks.

My previous post was in the "Western Front" thread where I looked for info on the operation(s)  the HAG was supporting on the Yser front.  I have also asked similar questions on a Belgian equivalent site to this one and had one helpful reply giving reports of Belgian successes in taking prisoners at various times.  However, while the HAG diary tells me where the batteries were deployed and every target they were firing at, and I could plot them all on a map, it has no detail of the operation(s) as a whole in that time frame.  Put simply, while I can tell someone that the batteries concerned were supporting the Belgians (the diary says so as well)  I can't answer the next obvious question which would be "what were the Belgians doing" - very frustrating!  Hopefully the next level up will help now that you have identified it for me.

MAXd,

CHA Commander Heavy Artillery rather than CRA concerning mostly Field Arty. WO95/968/1 for the months you mentioned. 64 HAG came under 19 Corps about 6.10.17 with 169 SB leaving early December so the file should hopefully contain the information you seek.

Paul

Thank you very much indeed, of all the likely acronyms, the most obvious one completely eluded my little brain.

A quick first flick through the diary looks very much as if it is going to take me much further on in answering the question - I am most grateful.
