Guest JohanHugo Posted 9 July , 2016 Share Posted 9 July , 2016 Hello all, Unfortunately I don't know a thing about military clothing and I wonder if this man is wearing a military-outfit or just regular clothes? The only information on the photo is that it was taken in Cuba, must be around 1915. I know that the man was enlisted in the British army but that was (probably) a year later, in 1916, after he came back from Cuba.. Anyone has any leads to what he is wearing? Thank you in advance! Lancashire Fusilier Posted 9 July , 2016 Share Posted 9 July , 2016 Johan, Welcome to the Forum. The clothing shown in your photograph, is civilian not military. Regards, LF

Regards, LF Thank you! I came here specifically for the photo but I do have a great interest in the First World War, so very interesting to browse through the rest of the forum! I was mainly doubting the clothing because of the short tie, which I found a bit 'military', thank you very much for your insight! Regards, Johan Johan, Although not an expert in equestrian matters the clue as well as the dress is the length of stirrups and saddle etc. Think Cowboy and Western movies, no doubt the photograph was taken in Cuba or the 'Americas'Tony P
