According to my local press (Central Som Gaz 19.02.1915) these wounded arrived Charing Cross Station 'on Wednesday' and were 'taken to hospital by motor ambulance' My g'father Frederick Bartlett 7011 of 1/ Somerset L.I. included. He returned home after 6 weeks.

Does anyone have any idea as to which hospital(s) they were taken or indeed their journey before arrival at Charing Cross?

The Times newspaper:

Exchanged Prisoners - List of men who have returned

The following is a list of British prisoners of war who have been exchanged for German prisoners of war on the grounds of unfitness for further service. They were admitted to Queen Alexandra's Military Hospital, Grosvenor road on Wednesday, and those whose health admits will be sent on furlough as soon as possible.

(list)

1st Somerset LI - 7011 F. Bartlett
