This is rather a long shot, but this is the last piece of a puzzle. I am researching our Old Boys killed in WW1 and Harry James Martin is the only solider for whom I have no photo. I just wondered if there was anyone who might have one of him.

I know he joined up in Melbourne in 1915 having lived in Brighton for some years. He left a daughter, two adopted children and a wife in Brighton.  A year after his death, his wife also died, leaving the children without parents. He was buried at Beach Cemetery.  I believe his brother was a Major serving in India at this time. The only possibility I can find is Major E E Martin, of the Army Veterinary Corps. Any information about him would also be very much appreciated.

The Anzac site has been particularly useful in finding out official records and documentation, but I have not been able to find anything about him on a personal level.  I wonder if anyone does know a little more and wouldn't mind sharing.
