keithmroberts Posted 3 July , 2016 Share Posted 3 July , 2016 It doesn't look as if he has a surviving service record at the National Archives which is a shame. You might discover most from the war diaries kept by the 1st and 5th battalions of his regiment. Officer postings and sometimes activities are mentioned by name. http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/british-army-war-diaries-1914-1922/ Keith
John_Hartley Posted 3 July , 2016 Share Posted 3 July , 2016 Also worth checking with the Regimental Archives at Ashton if they have anything on him.
