LIVERPOOL PALS-13th-July-1916-Liverpool Echo

L-iverpool "Pals" what an army!
I-mpetuous, brilliant and brave,
V-aliant, , unconquered, resistless,
E-ach one a duty to slave.
R-ushing the Huns from their trenches,
P-utting the Boches to flight,
O-nward and forward to truimph,
O-nly one thought in the fight:
L-ove for the "Cause" and it's justice,
P-iling defeat on the foe,
A-nxious for victory immortal.
L-aggards, not one. Let them know
S-omething of how we esteem them. Can we forget them Oh No!

A.T

I came across the above published in the Liverpool Echo 100 years ago. #LestWeForget.

That is marvelous Kathy, thank you for posting it. I wonder who AT was?  I'm going to write something for the 30th July and Guillemont; I'd like to use that if it is ok.

Pete.
