5th. June was the centenary of the death of Lord Kitchener who died this day in 1916.

Some of you may remember me as we had a long thread here about the Kitchener poster and a number of members were able to offer valuable pieces of information about the poster including photographs of it posted across the UK.

To correspond with the centenary, I have published a book called Kitchener, the Man, the Poster, and the Legacy.

I know that's blatant advertising but many on here contributed to it and the Great War Forum has been acknowledged in the book.

I think there is a service of remembrance in London on this Sunday.
