horrocks Posted 6 May , 2016 Share Posted 6 May , 2016 The first was taken just opposite the level crossing at Hamel, the other two further in - according to the georeference maps, the German front line lay more or less exactly along the line of trees in the second photo. Given the water level, I can't imagine there was any sort of trench here.
