Hett65 Posted 2 May , 2016 Share Posted 2 May , 2016 Cpl 43997 Thomas Wilkinson RFA 5th 'C' (Res) Bde died of wounds at home (possible hospital in Nunhead area) on 12th May 1917, and is buried in Nunhead cemetery. He was the son of James Wilkinson and husband of Mrs C. W. Elvin (formerly Wilkinson) of McAuley, Manitobia. I have been unable to trace his history as there is no file on him on Ancestry, however I believe this man was from Darlington in County Durham. I do not have access to all parts of Ancestry which I did have in the past, I know there is a 'book of pension details' I believe which gives the mans name, regiment and when he died or was killed, including any money paid to his family, parents or wife. Could some kind member of the forum please check this out for me as I am trying to trace his wifes christian names so I can find the marriage in my area. Thanks, John.
