sen10el Posted 1 May , 2016 Share Posted 1 May , 2016 Morning guys, Been a while since posting here but I have something I thought deserved sharing. On our latest yearly jaunt out to Belgium and France I took a great friend of mine in search of three war graves of his family members lost to the war. Matt Hancock is a semi-professional photographer and took some cracking photos on our whistle-stop tour, some so beautiful I thought it unfair not to share them with fellow enthusiasts. He's Just managed processing about half of what he took and hopes to get the rest up for show by Monday night.I feel his first visit will probably be the first of many so if anyone wants any specific shots please message me so i can plan it into the next visit scheduled later this year. Photos here https://www.flickr.com/photos/blastaukss/albums/72157667616237191 He also made up a short Video which in memory of his lost family which is up on my youtube stream here Let me know what you guys think. Best Regards Andy

Fattyowls Posted 1 May , 2016 Share Posted 1 May , 2016 Andy, thanks for posting these; Matt's photography is excellent. I particularly liked the bluebells and the Menin Gate; I've seen a lot of the memorial lit up but this one is particularly evocative for some reason. Nice also to see Le Touret photographed properly too. I will look forward to seeing any more Matt has. Pete.
Dai Bach y Sowldiwr Posted 1 May , 2016 Share Posted 1 May , 2016 I particularly like your picture of the Menin Gate at night. I would like to second that. Lovely dark blue twilight sky. So refreshing to not have a sky spoilt by street lighting.
