The NA reference for the War Diary is WO 95/415/6, but I cannot seem to find it on Ancestry. The period I'm looking for is December 1916 whilst the unit was at Grovetown. Any help would be appreciated.

My thanks in advance.

Alan

Ancestry don't have CCS dairies yet, Field Ambulances only I think. At least, I can't seem to find any Hospitals, CCSs.

Hello Alan

CCS were part of Army Troops. I don't know if the digitisation project has got that far yet, but it may be worth checking TNA's website, www.nationalarchives.gov.uk. it may cost you about £3.50 but it depends how long you want to wait until Ancestry catches up!

TEW and Ron

Thank you both for coming back to me. The NA web-site states that the diary has been digitised, but whether this will end up on Ancestry or say FMP, I don't know. The £3.50 will be cheaper than a visit to the NA from the Midlands. Thanks again.

Regards

Alan
