The Manchester Evening News has this interesting widget. Not sure how new this is, but it may be useful. Probably nothing the Geoff's engine can't do. Search by Street.

I think your right about Geoff's search engine Mike.

Although they allow a street search on that site the CWGC data with an address is mainly that of relatives rather than the casualty themselves so it's going to be more limited than many would expect.

It appears to cover all over. I typed into the town/city Kidderminster and was returned a list of addresses in Kiddy, formerly from Kiddy, near Kiddy etc. Same for my home town, not only the above scenarios, but also gave soldiers with the name Newbury, so it is a fairly well written piece of code.

I tried addresses in Kent (now part of London); Birmingham and Southampton - and all worked. Useful widget.

I'll try again as I drew a blank on a London street name where I know of a casualty with CWGC giving the address.

Just been playing around a little with this, very useful little additional tool to use.

What does it do that the CWGC advanced search doesn't? Since they added searches of the 'Additional Info' field you can search for towns and streets there.
