Hi,

I'm looking for any info on WILFRED HOLLINGWORTH, a Private in the 18th Batallion Manchester Regiment, killed 31/07/1917. His Service No was 41463 and the grave/memorial ref is Panels 53 & 55 of Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

I am looking particularly for photos or any info additional to the above.

Many thanks,

Shelley

There is also a Private W. Hollingworth in the Manchester City Battalions Book of Honour in the 18th Bugle Band and "A" Company Platoon 1 of the 18th. But he has a service number of 10023.

Thanks for looking, Andy, most kind of you! I'm going to sound REALLY thick now, but what does SDGW stand for - I'm afraid I'm new to this, please pardon my ignorance :o

Hi Shelly

SDGW is a CD-ROM called Soldiers died in the Great War, a database containing the dead of WW1 including born, lived, enlisted in a lot of cases. It is done by Naval & Miitary Press and is invaluable sometimes although it is not cheap.
