BillyH Posted 10 March , 2016 Share Posted 10 March , 2016 I just want to have a quick look on Ancestry to see the diary entry for the end of August 1917. I haven't yet mastered the way to find the diary that I want, could someone with more talent than me please give me a link? Thanks for any help! BillyH. BillyH Posted 10 March , 2016 Author Share Posted 10 March , 2016 Thanks Graeme, I didn't think about that possibility, I foolishly thought that all the infantry diaries were done! BillyH.

David_Underdown Posted 11 March , 2016 Share Posted 11 March , 2016 all Western Front diaries have now been imaged, but not all online yet. Ancestry haven't (yet?) bought any beyond the initial tranche that were digitised (divisions and downward), plus funding the Gallipoli diaries digitisation themselves. So there is material on Discovery that's not available through Ancestry (and vice-versa in the case of Gallipoli). I see 12 Cheshires were in Salonika at the time you're interested in, off the top of my head, I can't remember if those have been done at all yet (I don't think so though).
