Territorial Exercises ? 1910 & 1911

I recently picked up two group photos of officers at Borden and Bexhill in 1910 and 1911 together with a framed territorial commission for a 2nd Lt Arthur Henry Davis who I presume is in the pictures. Can anyone confirm the nature of these gatherings/exercises ?

The 1911 exercises were on a large scale, which I think included the regular army as well. They took place mainly in Hampshire Wiltshire and Oxfordshire against the enemy "red force" whose final position was along the line of the River Thames.
