War Diary for 1st East Riding Fortress Royal Engineers / 529th Field C

Recommended Posts

I have a Great Grandfathers service records and medals who served with the 503 Regiment, 1st East Riding Fortress, 529th Field Company Royal Engineers from 6/1/1915 to April 1919.

I have the War Diary from the National Archives and i wondered if there is any resources or sites where people have transcribed the activities of the Regiment?

I am looking to research what he did and where etc throughout the war, the battles, find trench maps etc.

If not i look to make it a project to translate it day to day and produce a diary of notes, research photographs and maps etc of his time.

Thought i would ask about should anyone be aware that this has already been done?

With Thanks
