Knotty Posted 3 April , 2016 Share Posted 3 April , 2016 Hard to acquire, the Spanish Medal for the Morroco Campaign created 29/6/1915, in silver with green ribbon showing head of King Alfonso XIII. John
Kitchener's Bugle Posted 3 April , 2016 Share Posted 3 April , 2016 Correct.... I thought that the bust would have threw some people as it looks distinctly German does it not.
Knotty Posted 3 April , 2016 Share Posted 3 April , 2016 Yes I have to agree with the Germanic look, could be taken as a design for a civic burgermeister commemoration. John

rflory Posted 4 April , 2016 Share Posted 4 April , 2016 Romanian Medal for Aeronautical Virtue - sometimes called the Air Force Medal or Air Force Bravery Medal (comes in gilt, silver and bronze). It is not a Great War medal as it was not authorized until 24 February 1931

Kitchener's Bugle Posted 4 April , 2016 Share Posted 4 April , 2016 Correct. Red enamel Greek (Geneva) cross, five-pointed silver gilt stars between the arms, on oval green enamel laurel wreath suspension; the face with a central circular medallion bearing the polychrome arms of the Republic of Cuba within a white enamel ring inscribed in gilt letters ‘INTER INIMICOS CHARITAS (Charity between enemies); the reverse with a circular central blue enamel medallion bearing the date ‘1910’ in gilt script numerals within a white enamel ring inscribed in gilt letters ‘ORDEN DE HONOR Y MERITO’ (Order of Merit and Honour); on original ribbon with top suspension bar and rosette denoting an award of the ‘officer’ class. The Cuban Red Cross was founded by Diego Tamayo y Figueredo on 10 March 1909 and recognised by the International Red Cross on 7 September 1909. The relatively small size of the Cuban Red Cross and the political history of Cuba make all its orders rare, especially in senior grades.
