Hello everyone!

I've been doing some digging into my family history on the Campbell side and have come across the brother of my great grandmother, Charlotte Kerr, of Arnprior later Renfrew, Ontario.

I have already found his attestation papers online through the LAC database and would like to know more about his service with the 4th Canadian Mounted Rifles as he was taken on as a 3rd Reinforcement Wave for the 4th CMR.

I'm afraid I do not know much else as I have only discovered him last night, any information would be very welcome and appreciated.

Cheers,

Sean

Did you try to order a copy of his service file at Library and Archives Canada?

I dunno how far they are in the digitization, but maybe you can still have a copy of the file before it goes into the scanning process.

Hi,

Digitisation was on surname letter G when I looked recently so I would suggest K will be available by Easter. I doubt it will be available as a paid copy from LAC.

You may get some information from CEFSG via below link -

Good Luck

Why not drop Arnie Kaye a line and ask him (cef.research@rogers.com)? If the file is available, he will be able to find it!

All the best,

Gary

Hi Everybody,

Thank you for the replies, I assumed the digitization was probably closing in on the middle of the alphabet of surnames, so I'll hold off on requesting a copy for now until it comes out.

Thank you, Gary. I'll drop Arnold a line to see if he knows anything!

Cheers,

Sean
