Nick Posted 23 November , 2004 Share Posted 23 November , 2004 I have the MIC for a relative (the one below in fact) which states he entered the (2B) Balkans theatre on 9.8.1915. As he was in a battalion (2/4th RWK) that landed at Suvla Bay in early August 1915 it seems reasonable to assume that the reference (2B) Balkans refers to that theatre. Can anyone confirm? Stephen Nulty Posted 23 November , 2004 Share Posted 23 November , 2004 Nick That's right. 2a Balkans is Greek Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria & European Turkey 2b Balkans is Gallipoli (Dardanelles) Steve
