Bernard_Lewis Posted 9 November , 2002 Share Posted 9 November , 2002 G.F.Brooke definitely commanded the Swansea Battalion from Feb 1918 to Armistice. Prior to this I understand he may have been a Connaught Ranger? Any info on his war service generally etc wiould be appreciated. Bernard_Lewis Posted 10 November , 2002 Author Share Posted 10 November , 2002 Charles - that is really helpful - thank you very much! I am in contact with Lt Col Brooke's grandson whose own knowledge is sketchy. Your answer more than fills the gaps. If anyone else can add anything all the better! I already have a fine photograph of the gentleman taken in France in 1915. Bernard
