Having trouble seeing the wood for the trees; is there a simple way to find this resource?

Search for Australian War Memorial , the ANZAC records are there, free.

Here:

https://www.awm.gov.au/collection/awm4/

The diaries for the HQ's commanders & Corps are there, I'm not sure how far down the chain of command the diaries are available.i.e whether individual NZ infantry battallions have diaries there.

Have a look anyway.

When II Anzac became XXII Corps, those records were filed at Kew. Those aren't yet online.

I might be wrong but I think the digitised war diaries are still in the pipeline at Archives New Zealand.

The diaries were to be digitised for the 100 year celebrations but archives were struggling with getting all the soldiers files digitised and online, on time.

When I check the 3rd Bn Canterbury Regiment, archives still stay the diaries have to be viewed in the reading room, Wellington City.

Here is the search engine, use the simple search option.

What diaries are you looking for I have a few and I know another forum member who has many.

Hi Delta

I don't believe that these are online, you need to visit the archives in Wellington.

If you have a particular idea of the months you want I can supply these for you

PM me and supply an email address

Thanks Roger
