CROONAERT Posted 10 May , 2003 Share Posted 10 May , 2003 Could anyone tell me anything at all about this Austrian unit between 1915 and 1918, or let me know where I could find something? Thanks, Dave.
Ralph J. Whitehead Posted 11 May , 2003 Share Posted 11 May , 2003 Dave, A little checking on this unit found that in August 1914 it was in the 7th Division, 13th Corps on the Balkan Front. In 1918 it was in the 36th Infantry Division: 36th Infantry Division: moved forward from Bukovina to the Ukraine with the Kosak Group. By 15th April, the division was incorporated in the 7th General Command at Cernãuþi (Czernowitz, Chernovtsy, Chernivtsi), confirming that it was stationed in the Ukraine only as of March. Again it is just a few bits but I hope it helps to track down further details. The last portion of this post was found at: http://membres.lycos.fr/dgrecu/AUtxt.Htm Good Luck, Ralph
