I looked up the three men from the Royal Berks that you listed and I am afraid your data is flawed

George Kirtland was 17317 not 17517 and did not enlist until 15/4/1915

Arthur Smith 15983 did not enlist until 18/12/14

so neither could have entered Dublin Hospital 4/10/14

Where did you get this data from ?

regards

John

Indeed your correct John,

Apologies to all

I was working of a 1914 Template for Meath Hospital. It should be 1915,not 1914, for both Men

His reg no was taking from the Irish Times Hospital list, obvious a typo error.

With thousands to record it's impossible to go through each number to check validity.

I do spot checks from time to time and correct as I go.

Incidentally

There are 4 Royal Berkshire Men listed as wounded in the Adelaide Hospital 27 October 1914.

The Names are :

Sgt W. Harris

Pte S Blackwell

Pte A. Butler,

Pte C. Shurville (maybe Sharville)

No regimental numbers are listed

I will amend the OP.

Thank you for your obs

Regards

Gerry

Hi John,

I also couldn't find him It must be a typo error.

I found also in Dr Steevens Hospital Dublin a Pte Joseph Kiff 9065 2nd BT Bedfordshire Rgt

His address is given as 64 Holywell Road Watford Herts.

And Pte William Pollard 10266 1st Bedfordshire Rgt who is recovering well in the Richmond Hospital.

Sgt G Roper 1st Bedfordshire Rgt Adelaide Hospital.
