nigelcave Posted 22 September , 2015 Share Posted 22 September , 2015 Happened to see it today. It is resting on what look a bit like RSJs and so the original flooring has gone (as was explained above in French). It seems to be work still in progress, but you can go up to it and have a peer inside. It looks as though they are going to be doing some work on improving (and/or creating) a trail through Plugstreet Wood to join up with the new(ish) museum near the Ploegsteert Memorial. bruilooze Posted 19 December , 2015 Share Posted 19 December , 2015 Saw the bunker a couple of weeks ago. The quarry tile floor has been re laid and a locked metal gate fitted at the entrance.
Petroc Posted 1 January , 2016 Share Posted 1 January , 2016 Great effort and work by all concerned; just one quick question, though..will there be any panels or plaques explaining to visitors that the bunker has actually been moved to prevent any impression that it now still lies on its original site? We're several years later now, has anything been done to explain the fact that this bunker was not there originally?
