Kitchener's Bugle Posted 25 August , 2015 Share Posted 25 August , 2015 The Queen's Royal Lancers Museum has now relocated to Thoresby Courtyard, Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire.The regimental collections of the Queen's Royal Lancers and its immediate antecedent regiments the 16th/5th Lancers and the 17th/21st Lancers, is a new museum.It covers just about every major campaign from the 17th Century to the Gulf War. The regimental archive is held at Lancer House,Grantham and may be viewed by appointmentThe Queen's Royal Lancers, 16th/5th Queen's Royal Lancers, 16th Queen's Lancers, 16th (Queen's) Light Dragoons, 16th Light Dragoons (Burgoyne's Light Horse), 5th Royal Irish Lancers , 17th Light Dragoons, 21st (Empress of India's) Lancers, 21st Hussars, 21st Light Dragoons, Bengal European Most famous of all is the Charge of the Light Brigade of course.The location is on the edge of Sherwood forest in rolling countryside within a converted stables that includes a cafe and craft shops.The medal collection is Excellent and Entry is Free!.
