Guest Sergio Posted 24 August , 2015 Share Posted 24 August , 2015 I hope that this is the right place to post this. I am currently reading To End All Wars by Adam Hochschild, I was surprised to read (pp160-161that in 1915 Britain and Germany arranged, through meetings in Switzerland, to supply each other with materiel they both needed. Britain was to receive binoculars from Germany and would in turn supply rubber to Germany. Would anyone either have any additional information on this or be able to point me towards a book or article? Many thanks Sergio

Mk VII Posted 28 December , 2015 Share Posted 28 December , 2015 The History of the Ministry of Munitions, Vol.11 Part 3, Ch.2 (the section on optical glass) is the source for this. In the end this deal did not go ahead.
