conijoni Posted 20 August , 2015 Share Posted 20 August , 2015 I have a reference to a Church Lads Brigade member, H Kingsley, Queen's Own Rifles, from THE BRIGADE magazine, July 1915. From an online search I found references to H Kinsley, QOR, who was awarded the Military Medal. I am not familiar with Canadian records. Please, could someone determine if there was an H Kingsley in the QOR and therefore it is not a spelling error? Thank you. Johnny Conn.

clk Posted 20 August , 2015 Share Posted 20 August , 2015 It might be worth doing a search on http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/first-world-war-1914-1918-cef/Pages/search.aspx to see if anything comes up. conijoni Posted 20 August , 2015 Author Share Posted 20 August , 2015 Thank you Chris. His papers say Harold Kingsley but when he signs he does so without a g. This seems to clear up my query. There are no other H Kingsley in the search. http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/first-world-war-1914-1918-cef/Pages/image.aspx?Image=439567a&URLjpg=http%3a%2f%2fdata2.archives.ca%2fcef%2fgpc008%2f439567a.gif&Ecopy=439567a Thank you again Chris for the link.
