IRC Kevin Posted 10 August , 2015 Share Posted 10 August , 2015 I'm struggling trying to decipher one of the words in this 'Conduct Sheet'. It's No.1 for 21/1/15 which says "Irregular conduct while a ?" Context is 1/6th King's Liverpool a month before their deployment to France. As with what appears to be the majority of the battalion, the 20 year-old soldier concerned was a clerk in civilian life, but there's no evidence that he was anything other than an ordinary rifleman in the battalion. Any suggestions gratefully received.

IRC Kevin Posted 10 August , 2015 Author Share Posted 10 August , 2015 Thanks, Graeme- I reckon you're right. I read the 'on' as 'a' and that threw me completely down the wrong path. Looks like he was caught inside a pub when he should have been elsewhere. Obviously not regarded as too naughty as he only got 3 days CB for Nos 1 & 2. (He got 5 days for scrumping). Reminds me of my days on scheme in BAOR when nearly every gasthaus seemed to provide good concealment for armoured cars!
Old Scalyback Posted 10 August , 2015 Share Posted 10 August , 2015 And reminds me of the 4 Div scheme in 72 when we provided coms for Panzer regiment 100 as red forces, 4 div MPs raided our endex party with the germans and the regimental commander had his MPs escort them from his HQ!
