MaxD Posted 9 August , 2015 Share Posted 9 August , 2015 (edited) From medal rolls I have two RMLC (old) members: Pte Wm Watt Deal 10196/S and Pte Wm Bryden Deal 10637/S I have read and re-read all the NA guidance and related postings here on finding other records for them and have almost worn out the enter button with searches on the NA and a subscription site, all without success. I'd be grateful for any steer. (I did read that many records are no longer in existence). And a supplementary - do the service numbers give any indication of when they joined? MaxD. Found the records, need to visit Kew, not digitised. Still like to know abut the dates of joinign (although that will be in the records) Edited 9 August , 2015 by MaxD
horatio2 Posted 9 August , 2015 Share Posted 9 August , 2015 William Bryden was discharged invalided on 30 July 1917, so both men enlisted between February and July 1917. Men with close numbers (e.g. 10126 were being discharged at the end of March 1917, so my best guess for the enlistment dates would be Bryden in February or March and Wyatt in March or April 1917 but both could have been February 1917.
