Can anyone recommend a means of accessing births deaths and marriages in Canada as an alternative to Ancestry?

Dave,

My understanding is that there isn't a national registration system as in UK but a Provincial recording system. I think a limited amount of BMD for British Columbia only are on Ancestry.

Thanks for your help,

.

It doesn't appear that the records for BDM are as accessible as in the UK.

Hi David, try the Library and archives Canada - it's the government website and I believe may have what you need, or at least direct you to it. Best of luck!
