Nell Posted 28 July , 2015 Share Posted 28 July , 2015 I have a letter written from 206 Squadron in France in 1918 mentioning a gift the writer has previously sent home. He hopes the 'bird and crown' will bring his wife good luck. I know 206 Squadron's badge was an octopus, but can anyone confirm if this term was used to refer to the RAF insignia please? Thanks for any help.
